HHS BAND NEWS!!! Band Uniforms
Please turn in your CLEAN band uniform this week. Your band uniform includes the following:

• pants
• vest
• jacket
• hat w/box

If the uniform has not been cleaned, we ask that you bring $10 for us to have it cleaned.

Friday, May 21st Spring Football Game
Please come out and support the Hueytown Golden Gophers in their Spring Game against Bibb County. Our band has been asked to be there to play and support the team. Mr. Lipscomb will let the students know what to wear. Even though this is not required, please encourage your student to come and support their school. We will have a lot of fun. The Band Boosters will have the concession stand open.

URGENT!!! We need only 3 or 4 people to volunteer to work the concession stand. If you can work, please call Cheryl Amerson.

End of the Year Party – Saturday, May 22nd
Our end of the year party is here!!! The party will be in the HHS Lunchroom from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM. We will have food, fun, music, slide show, etc. The party is for our present band members and for the 8th Grade Students who will be joining us next year. Help us welcome them to the band. . If you would like to volunteer to bring something, the following items are needed:
Pizza - 2 pizzas from Little Caesars
Sandwiches - 2 loaves bread and whatever sandwiches you want to make
Chicken Fingers - recommend ordering from Wal-Mart Deli

We can always use extra bag of chips or a large drink (Milo's tea, soft drinks, lemonade, anything diet or sugar free, etc.).
Please let me know what you want to bring so we can be sure we have everything covered.

Drum Major 2010
Congratulations goes to Brennan Cargile!!! He was selected last Friday to be our Drum Major for the year 2010!!!


HHS BAND CAMP DATES - 2010:

Rookie Camp (Required for ALL FIRST YEAR MEMBERS)

July 26th (Monday only)

9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM

Music Camp (Required for ALL MEMBERS)

July 27th, 28th, 29th (Tuesday thru Thursday)

1:30 PM to 5:00 PM

Percussion Camp (Required for ALL PERCUSSIONISTS)

July 26th, 27th, 28th, 29th, 30th (Monday thru Friday)

9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM to 5:00 PM

• Percussionists should be in line for registration by 8:00 AM on the day they are required to register.

Band Camp (Required for ALL BAND MEMBERS)

August 2nd (Monday) thru August 6th (Friday)

9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Please plan your summer vacations around these REQUIRED rehearsals.
